Tilly, motivated by friends' frustrations with confusing sewing patterns, reimagined sewing resources to make them more accessible for modern makers. She leveraged her expertise in learning design and passion for DIY dressmaking to simplify sewing instructions, using plain language, beautiful colour photos, and supportive tips.

Since she began sewing in 2010, Tilly has immersed herself in the craft, establishing a popular blog, studying at the London College of Fashion, and eventually launching her own sewing patterns and authoring a book. After transitioning to full-time work with her burgeoning company, Tilly and the Buttons, she now leads a dedicated team from a studio in South London, offering an expanding range of sewing patterns, books, and online workshops.
