Billie Sweatshirt and Dress Sewing Pattern - By Tilly and the Buttons

We label our sewing pattern sizes with generic numbers from 1 to 15. Please measure your bust, waist, and hips to determine which size(s) fit you best. The pattern instructions include a link to an article on fitting tips to help you tailor the pattern to your unique shape, including how to combine multiple sizes.

MODEL GARMENT SIZES - Marcela is wearing the UK 6-24 range (pink grid print dress, navy and metallic sweatshirt, yellow splodge dress and pale blue sweatshirt) and wears size 4 (UK 12). Sarah is modelling the UK 16-34 range (colour block dress and striped sweatshirt) and wears size 11 (UK 26).

Printed Sewing Pattern
You will receive a gorgeous printed package containing full-scale pattern sheets and a colour booklet with step-by-step instructions.

Matching thread
Optional: Ribbing (at least 70cm / 27 1/2in wide) for cuffs etc. if main fabric has less than 20% stretch: regular sleeve - 0.7m (3/4yd); balloon sleeve - 0.8m (7/8yd)
Optional: If you’re using a stretchy sweater knit, use 30cm (12in) of 6-9mm (1/4in) wide satin ribbon, clear elastic or stay tape to stabilise the shoulders
Sewing machine or overlocker (serger).
Basic tools, incl. ballpoint machine needle (a walking foot can be helpful if you’re using a regular sewing machine)

Sweatshirt fleece, French terry, ponte, double knit, interlock or sweater knit with at least 10% stretch. N.B. You’ll need a sturdy machine to sew the balloon sleeve version in a thick sweatshirting fabric.
