This half-day workshop is ideal for absolute beginners or those looking to refresh their sewing skills.

Make an Apron - No experience necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm, and we will take care of the rest.

Start from scratch and get to know the sewing machine. After an introduction to the basic functions of the machine and an opportunity to choose from our curated selection of fabrics, we'll show you how to create your first sewn project - a stylish tote bag in a supportive environment.

IS THIS CLASS RIGHT FOR ME?

This beginner class is perfect if you've never used a sewing machine before. You'll get to know the machine, choose from our curated selection of fabrics, and learn to sew straight seams, neat corners and simple finishing — all in a friendly, supportive environment. You'll leave with your own handmade apron, new sewing skills, and the confidence to tackle more beginner projects.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

All materials and tools are provided, so there's nothing you need to bring — just yourself.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Use of all our Pfaff sewing machines, overlockers, tools and materials, plus tea and coffee and step-by-step guidance from an experienced instructor. Booking also gets you 10% off all our fabric and haberdashery, with our team on hand to advise on your project.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Minimum age is 16. We'll be taking photos during the session for our website and marketing — let us know beforehand if you'd rather not be included.

BOOKING POLICY

Bookings are non-refundable, and rescheduling is limited due to small class sizes — notify us at least two weeks ahead and we'll do our best to transfer your booking, though it can't be guaranteed. Classes need a minimum of four participants to run; if we cancel due to low enrolment, we'll offer a full refund or an alternative date.
