At Lullabee Fabrics we have an obsession with double gauze but we should share our reason for this!
We mostly love it for its huge range of colours and designs but particularly as it's breathable, soft as well as lightweight. With a trademark crinkled finish, also known as muslin, our double gauze is 2 very fine layers of 100% cotton that are invisibly stitched together. The weave of each layer tends to be quite loose, this lends itself to be almost a bit snuggly and slightly springy. From plain solid colours to beautiful prints, our range includes black, white and all the colours in between.
Double gauze is very simply, two layers of fine gauze that are tacked together at regular intervals with little stab stitches which are undetectable from the right side of the fabric. A fabulous textile for adult and children's clothes, muslin, nursery and baby projects.
The best part is that it can be used for so many different sewing projects such as dresses, shirts, shorts, tunics, baby blankets, wedding decor, bedroom decor, bibs, burp cloths, quilting projects, hair bows and so much more.
