The Gambit Dress is a 60s inspired shift dress with striking chequer-board style lines.
It is a straight up-and-down shape with bust darts and a round neck. It pulls on over the head with no need for a zip. Included in the pattern, although not shown in photography or instructions, is an optional short sleeve.
You have the option of using two contrasting fabrics. For best results ensure that the two fabrics you use are of similar weight and texture. There are lengthen/ shorten lines marked on the pattern for you to adjust to suit your own style.
